TF 400V Tray-Matic Tray Former

Value
• Quick and easy changeover
• No sensitive micro switches and valves. It's all mechanical design
reduces maintenance to a minimum.
• Separate mandrels are needed to form different size trays only when
altering length and/or width of the tray. Altering depth dimensions
normally require no mandrel change.
• The hopper design provides for fast and convenient refilling of tray
blanks

System Operation
A tray blank is removed from the hopper by a vacuum feed system. As blanks are fed, hot melt adhesive is applied in patterns determined by program segments. They are activated by serrated wheels only when the blank is in contact with the program segments. The bottom stops positively position the tray blank in front of the horizontal forming mandrel. As the mandrel moves the blank into the compression area, plows fold the blank around the mandrel. As the mandrel re-tracks pushers are activated to positively set and hold the forming flaps in position preventing these forming flaps from flagging as the mandrel pulls out of the finished tray.
