System
Operation
The product typically arrives in individual lanes into the WP 100's
infeed area. Once the desired package configuration is created, a loading
head captures the product and carries it to the load area. Simultaneously,
a case blank is pulled from the bottom of the magazine and is advanced
forward to the load area via positive vacuum pinch feed rollers. The
loading head is now positioned over the blank and the product is released
onto the case blank. The blank is formed around the product as it is
lowered through the forming plates. At the discharge elevation the manufacturer's
joint is sealed and the closed case passes through the compression station.
The case then advances out of the machine and onto the customer's take
away conveyor.
